LAMONTE, Mo. - Winged Outlaw Warrior drivers that began their careers in sprint cars racing 305 sprints at L A Raceway dominated during the feature event Saturday night.

The Winged Outlaw Warrios began its 11th season at L A Raceway with a small card game on the front stretch that earned Tyler Blank the pole position and Rusty Potter the outside of row one.

Native L A Raceway drivers who are no stranger to victory lane in a 305 sprint car started in the top 10 positions. Austin Alumbaugh was slated to start outside row two, Jonathan Cornell on the inside of row three, and Josh Fisher outside row five.

Potter had a series of unfortunate events that made him lose his starting position. After pushing off for the feature event, Potter returned to the pits and had to be pushed off again to start the feature sending him to the tail of the field. This gave Alumbaugh a great opportunity as he was moved up to outside row one.

With the green flag flying, Blank took the lead with Alumbaugh in second. Eric Todd, Cody Baker and Cornell were nipping at the tails of the two leaders.

Cornell overcame Baker on lap three and Todd took second from Alumbaugh on lap five. With seven laps completed, the leaders were moving into lap traffic. Todd passed Blank for the lead and began moving away from the field of sprinters.

Fisher was patiently waiting to make his hard-charging move as he sat in sixth place for lap one to 12. He moved into fifth and used lap traffic to his advantage.

A big event happend on lap 15 as Blank got caught behind a lap car and both Cornell and Alumbaugh rocketed past him. Todd had moved to a comfortable lead when the caution flag flew on lap 17 as David Brown went off the track in turns three and four.

The flag bunched the field back up putting Cornell, Alumbaugh and Fisher right on the tail of Todd. On the restart, Cornell made his move into the first turns and ran away from Todd down the backstretch. Fisher moved around Alumbaugh and Blank followed his suit.

Fisher made a final attempt on the last lap that successfully landed him a second place finish. Todd finished third with Alumbaugh sneaking past Blank for fourth.

Cornell's win earned him his first feature win in the Winged Outlaw Warriors circuit. He adds this honor to his 2008 Rookie of the Year and Knoxville Raceway's 2009 Rookie of the Year.

In the L A Raceway 305 Sprints, the track invited the United Rebel Sprint Series (URSS) to challenge the local sprint drivers. The race also counted toward the URSS points for the drivers.

Ryan Schlender started on the pole with Mitchell Moore on the outside. Both drivers have picked up several wins at L A in the years past. Alumbaugh was in the run for the 305 win but was taken off the track with a locked brake before the feature even started.

On the start of the race, cars got a little ruffled coming out of turn four and URSS Darren Bowman and Miranda Arnold got hooked up resulting in a caution. Bowman was done for the night, while Arnold was able to continue.

With three more restarts, the field finally got one lap in the books with Moore, Schlender, URSS Smokey Fairbank, Kenny Potter and URSS Ty William in the top five. Cars once again got bunched up coming out of turn two on lap two and caused a red flag condition when Arnold took a hard ride as the sprinter barrel rolled coming to rest on its side. Several cars slowed down during the accident but were able to continue on keeping their place in the race except for Haley Arnold who came to a stop and had to tag the tail of the field.

Racing got underway again and the leaders were running strong as Randall Roberts was working his way up from the tail of the field by rim riding the top of the track into seventh place. He lost control in the top of turn one and caused a caution. Potter took his car to the pits on the caution and was done for the night.

Racing resumed for one more lap when Casey Baker took a hard tumble over turn three and caused another red flag condition. When racing continued, the cushion moved up the track and the faster ride was near the top of the track.

Moore and Schlender were leading the field of cars with ease near the top of the track. Fairbank, William and Michael Schouten were rounding out the top five with half the race completed.

Schouten began to lose ground while Timothy Wheeler began to charge through the field of cars.

Moore took the checkered with Schlender, Fairbank, William and Wheeler finishing in the top five positions for the night.
